Anti-wrinkle injections are a popular aesthetic treatment for both men and women. They're used to minimise dynamic wrinkles like frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet, but they can also be used to treat excessive sweating, migraines, and tension headaches. These injections work by blocking nerve signals from reaching the muscles, resulting in muscular relaxation.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Unlike dermal fillers, which fill lines to enhance facial features, anti-aging injectables smooth out lines and wrinkles, resulting in more youthful and rejuvenated skin. These injections are most commonly used around the eyes to treat crow's feet, on the forehead to reduce frown lines, and around the mouth to reduce marionette lines.
A very fine needle will be used to inject the muscles of the desired area of the face during your anti-wrinkle treatment. Because the treatment does not necessitate any downtime, you can resume your normal routine shortly following your appointment. Following treatment, you may experience mild redness, bruising, and swelling, but this will subside in a few days. After a few days, you should notice some changes, but it will take two weeks to see the full effect, with results lasting between three and four months. Because these injections are not permanent, the treatment will need to be repeated in order to maintain the desired results.
How long do anti-wrinkle inejctions last?
The expected duration of results from anti-wrinkle injections varies depending on a number of factors, including the dose administered, the condition of the skin, hydration, metabolic rate, and degree of muscular use in the treatment area. To maintain results, most patients should schedule anti-wrinkle injections at 3-4 monthly intervals. We can help slow the progression of wrinkles and continue to improve those stubborn creases by maintaining results.
How do cosmetic anti-wrinkle injections work?
Anti-wrinkle injections travel to the underlying muscle via a series of tiny superficial injections, blocking the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine (chemical messenger) responsible for muscular contraction. This reduces the appearance of expression lines on the skin's surface, resulting in a smooth and refreshed appearance. After some time, new axons form, allowing the chemical messenger to be transmitted to the muscle and gradually reactivating muscular contraction.
Is it safe to combine anti-wrinkle treatment with other cosmetic products or procedures?
Yes. Dermal fillers and cosmeceuticals are frequently used alongside anti-wrinkle injection treatments to help improve and restore skin quality, smoothness, and volume. Combination treatments are advantageous for achieving an overall refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.
Do anti-wrinkle injectable treatments have any side effects?
Minor side effects of anti-wrinkle injection treatments include temporary localised inflammation at the treatment site, which includes redness, swelling, heat, and small lumps. These symptoms are completely normal and usually subside within a few days. Minor bruising at the treatment site is also possible, but is usually easily concealed with makeup. Makeup should not be worn for at least 24 hours after treatment.
