Why We Collect Data
Obviously with the nature of the business we are required to keep records of your treatments and visits to us so that we can monitor your progress and to help us advise you on what is the most suitable course of treatment for you. Alongside this we also have to hold personal contact details so we can contact you regarding your appointments, treatment and also on occasions to inform you of any new procedures that might be of interest to you.
How We Collect Data
Firvale Clinic requires all its patients to complete and update their contact and medical details when they come for consultation. We also amend your records after you have been to see us so that there is an up to date record of where you are in the treatment process. As a patient you consent to this as part of our treatment consent and review documentation.
We do not have an automated data collection/subscription service attached to the website and any enquiries are answered on a one off basis and only stored once you have decided to make an appointment.
You have the right to amend personal data, i.e. contact details or medical history at any time and we would advise that for your treatment you should do this as and when necessary.
How We Use Data
Firvale Clinic will only use data for your treatment and to occasionally inform you of upcoming advances in the field of aesthetics or special offers we have on.
We do not and will not share data with third parties unless prior consent on a per use basis has been given.
e.g.if you were to be willing to act as a model/advocate/trial for a particular treatment with another company we have an affiliation with, this would be on a one off basis agreed by you and in conjunction with ourselves and that particular third party.
We do not carry out any combined processing of our stored data for marketing (profiling) as every patient is an individual to us.
You have the right to unsubscribe on not subscribe to our mailing list. This can be done either through the email system or on your initial/ review contact form or by contacting us directly.
How We Store Data
Our data is stored in two main ways.
Paper filing is used for your treatment records so that your file can easily be accessed and reviewed by the practitioner prior to, during and after your visit.
Computer Database: This is used for your contact details and for your appointments and appointment history plus any financial transaction records.
Your Data is stored with us until you are deceased or request it transferred to another practice. This is a medical requirement in place for your safety. You can request in writing to see your medical records at any point, a standard charge does however apply for this . You can have yourself removed from the mailing and emailing lists, and also request to no longer be contacted in any form should you so desire.
All our data is kept securely under lock and key whether physical or digital. The computer data is stored in a secure cloud which is supplied as part of our IT system by e-Clinic who are responsible for that data’s integrity and security.
